Fall's Here... And So Are The Snacks
Share
The markets smell like apples again. Pumpkins have returned to every doorstep (and, inexplicably, every coffee). Coats are out, leaves are falling, and somewhere in the distance, someone is roasting chestnuts with smug satisfaction.
At The Grocery Club, we’re fully here for it. Fall is the season of slow strolls and big baskets, the kind where you tell yourself you’ll “just grab a few things” and end up hauling home enough root vegetables to feed a village.
The Market Mood Shift
Summer markets are all chatter and sunshine. Fall markets, though? They hum. There’s a quiet kind of pleasure in wandering through misty air with a hot drink, picking through knobbly squash, and finding beauty in the oddly shaped. Everything feels slower, more intentional, like nature’s asking us to take our time.
Our Fall Staples
If you ask around The Grocery Club, here’s what’s rolling home lately:
- A paper bag full of Cox apples, perfectly tart and snackable.
- A loaf of crusty sourdough, ideally still warm.
- Leeks, mushrooms, and thyme, because soup season is personality season.
- A cheeky bar of dark chocolate, because balance.
Style in the Aisles
Autumn grocery runs are underrated style moments. Wool coats meet market crates, boots crunch leaves, and everything looks like a film still. You don’t have to dress up for groceries, but no one said you couldn’t.
